WHCPA has extensive genealogical information and artifacts in folders and boxes relating to over 1,900 families. They contain all sorts of collected documentation: newspaper clippings, handwritten notes, family trees and geneological reports, funeral cards, personal diaries and journal entries, receipts, certificates, wills, business transactions, membership cards, photographs, etc. -- all donated by families during the past 100 years. In 2005, WHCPA initiated a project to digitize these materials to preserve them, to enhance them, and to make them more accessible to the public. Over 30,000 digitized searchable images are available right now for manual in-person browsing on the museum's computer system.
